School of Arts Media and Engineering Faculty Associate
Job description:
The School of Arts, Media, and Engineering in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for multiple part-time Faculty Associate positions to teach Media Arts and Sciences courses in the Spring 2023 semester.
The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non- benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed 0.40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience teaching media arts and technology courses at the collegiate level
- Minimum two years teaching experience at the collegiate level
- Experience teaching course subject/material as listed in one of the courses shown below
Desired qualifications:
- Professional experience in the specific art discipline
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Knowledge of local and regional disciplinary ecosystem
- Demonstrated experience developing curricula
- Creative Activity/Scholarly research interests and achievement as demonstrated through performances, presentations and/or publications
